Institution’s Innovation Cell

About

In the year 2018, the Ministry of Education (MoE) through MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC) launched the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) program in collaboration with AICTE for Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to systematically foster the culture of innovation and start-up ecosystem in education institutions.

Primarily, IICs’ role is to engage large number of faculty, students and staff in various innovation and entrepreneurship related activities such as ideation, Problem solving, Proof of Concept development, Design Thinking, IPR, project handling and management at Pre-incubation/Incubation stage, etc., so that innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem gets established and stabilized in HEIs. We are pleased to announce the establishment of IIC-PCGE in November 2020.

Parishkar College of Global Excellence, Jaipur has established an Institution’s Innovation Council (IC202430872) in the campus as per the norms of Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India during the academic calendar year 2024-25.

Aims & Objectives

The primary aim of the IIC-PCGE  is to build a strong innovation ecosystem at PCGE. To achieve this number of objectives have been decided by the IIC-PCGE. These objectives are:

  • Foster a collaborative innovation environment among faculty, staff, and students, encouraging stakeholders to engage in interdisciplinary innovation.
  • Educate and train faculty and students on diverse aspects of innovation and entrepreneurship.
  • Implement the “National Innovation and Startup Policy for Students and Faculty” at PCGE.
  • Build a dynamic local innovation ecosystem.
  • Develop a support mechanism for startups within Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
  • Prepare the institution for the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) framework.
  • Establish an effective ecosystem for idea scouting and the pre-incubation of innovative ideas.
  • Promote interaction between academic communities and grassroots innovators.
  • Mentor grassroots innovators to facilitate technology transfer to society.

Functions of IIC-PCGE

  • Implement Innovation and Entrepreneurship Initiatives: Conduct various activities related to innovation and entrepreneurship as prescribed by the Central MIC, adhering to a defined timeline.
  • Identify and Recognize Innovations: Discover and reward innovative ideas, and share success stories to inspire others.
  • Host Educational Events: Organize workshops, seminars, and interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals, creating a mentor network for student innovators.
  • Foster Networking: Build connections with peers and national organizations dedicated to entrepreneurship development.
  • Promote Institutional Innovations: Develop and maintain an Institutional Innovation Portal showcasing innovative projects by faculty and students.
  • Organize Competitive Events: Conduct hackathons, idea competitions, mini-challenges, etc., with active participation from industries.
