Overview 

The Integrated B.A.B.Ed. is a four-year undergraduate program that offers a dual integrated degree—Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education. The program was initiated with the vision of providing comprehensive knowledge in various subjects of Humanities, including Political Science, History, Geography, Music, Economics, as well as English and Hindi languages, with a pedagogical approach. The program is designed in accordance with the guidelines set by the NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) to prepare high-quality future teachers for the purpose of nation-building. 

Resilience forms the core essence of this program, which is achieved through the provision of diverse electives. Additionally, the program incorporates EPCs (Elective Professional Courses) aimed at personality development and enhancing knowledge of ICT (Information and Communication Technology). It encompasses a four-week internship program in the third year and a 16-week internship program in the fourth year, providing pupil teachers with practical experience in schools. These internships contribute to the pupil teachers’ understanding of educational philosophy, learning theory and practice, and classroom management.

Throughout the four-year duration, pupil teachers gain valuable hands-on experience by observing real-life classroom teaching and showcasing their own teaching skills during the internship period. Moreover, the program includes the teaching of Functional English to enhance the learners’ communication abilities.

Objectives of the college

By focusing on these areas, teachers can develop the necessary tools to facilitate student learning effectively.
  • To cultivate effective collaboration and innovation: This objective highlights the need for teachers to be active participants in addressing social, psychological, and philosophical challenges. By encouraging collaboration and fostering innovative thinking, prospective teachers can become agents of positive change within the education system. They can work together with colleagues and stakeholders to develop new approaches and strategies that address the diverse needs of their students.
  • To promote continuous professional development: This objective emphasizes the importance of lifelong learning for teachers. By engaging in self-study, professional study, research, and practical teaching experiences, prospective teachers can enhance their knowledge, skills, and understanding of teaching practices. Continuous professional development ensures that teachers stay updated with the latest educational research and best practices, allowing them to continuously improve their teaching methods.
  • To instill integrity, inclusiveness, and ethical values: This objective highlights the significance of fostering values in prospective teachers that promote responsible citizenship and social responsibility. By cultivating integrity, inclusiveness, and ethical values, teachers can serve as role models for their students, teaching them to be responsible, respectful, and compassionate members of society.

Parishkar College has implemented an innovative approach to teaching and learning in the B.A. B.Ed course. Rather than relying solely on traditional lecture-based instruction, the college’s educators employ a student-centric teaching method, encouraging active participation and engagement from the students throughout the learning process. Various activities are implemented to engage students actively and stimulate their participation in multiple ways. These activities include:

  • Finding key words in a sentence.
  • Finding the main idea in a paragraph.
  • Motivating students to solve objective questions from the lesson by themselves through the study sheet.
  • Evaluating the concepts of the lesson.
  • Encouraging students to give presentations in class.
  • Emphasizing interactive classes, group discussions, open house discussions, debates, and analytical and creative answer writing.
  • Providing online classes for students unable to attend due to various reasons.
  • Assessing students’ strengths and weaknesses through Study Sheets, Online Test, Mid-Term Test, and Pre-University Examination.
  • Ensuring a balance between teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Informally assessing students daily and testing them through OMR tests every two weeks.

Entry Requirement

Admission Process-

Candidates securing at least 50% marks in aggregate in the senior secondary examination of the Secondary Board of Education, Rajasthan, or any other recognized board equivalent to fulfilling the requirement for admission to the 4-year B.A. B.Ed. course.

There will be a Pre Teacher Education Test (PTET) for admission to the four-year B.A. B.Ed. course in colleges of Rajasthan. It is arranged by the Government of Rajasthan through any government educational institution.

Eligible candidates receive college allotment through counselling conducted by the examining agency, after which these candidates report to their respective colleges.
