Freshers’ Party (Mukundotsav)

Newly inducted undergraduate and postgraduate students participate in Mukundotsav (generally known as Freshers’ Party, Mukund means the bud intending to flower). An effort is made every year that maximum students participate in the activities of their own choice. As a result of these efforts most of the students become free, bold, creative and participative in forthcoming two/three years.

Teachers’ day (Gurootsav)

The Gurootsav is celebrated with honoring all the teachers by the students, and teachers perform dances, dandiya, drama, songs and other activities before all the students of the college to motivate them, to come out and to be demonstrative. A joint performance of almost one hundred teachers, in a group dance and in a ramp show is held to unfold every teacher and every student. The next day teachers are greeted with more cheers, with more closeness, with more regards, and with more icon association with them. It has been a splendid experience of PCGE that depicts a sublime effect on all, including the guests from the university and other colleges. They are overwhelmed by this activity and by the perception behind this presentation.

Bulandiya: Prize Awarding Function

This is a usual function celebrated in colleges, but in PCGE, it is a movement of reinforcement of the enthusiasm which prevails during the whole academic year. The magnitude of the participation can be judged by the fact that about 2000 certificates and about 2500 prizes are awarded to the students every year. It is a huge students’ support activity in itself by involving more than 2500 students.
